Bring these ideas to Blue Governors
Other blue/purple states like Vermont are working together to reduce state tax/tariffs with Canada. Can we get in on the multi-state compact with Canada too?
Defund/ stop contracts with ICE facilities in the state.
Mandate ICE agents must NOT wear masks and show badges with warrants.
Could we fire the National Guard for our state and then rehire them as emergency workers/ bounty hunters that can go after people dressed up as ICE?
Tax the rich in our state use the funds to feed everyone (Federal govt does not want to feed, give healthcare, FEMA and states are going to have to make up the short fall)
Universal state healthcare like Oregon has
No use of our state’s citizens data in a national surveillance state
Put in law no book bans
Until we know how votes were manipulated in Nov 2024 election MI will use paper ballots to count votes. ( https://smartelections.us/lawsuits-1 )
Take money out of politics.
Annual tax ie 5 dollars that goes into a few buckets.
1a. Bucket= $2 for 3 parties at state level (pays for Gov/Lt Gov, House Rep, Senate)
1c. Bucket of $2 for indept journalism with the state. Other than taxpayer funded journalism (NPR/PBS), giving equal time for 3 parties to debate each election cycle. Govt can NOT threaten or take away funding or broadcasting licenses for telling the truth.
NO OTHER MONEY IS ALLOWED for campaigning.
{Later maybe we can campaign at the national level to have a everyone contribute $1 annually to Bucket= 1 federal govt (split between our 3 parties, they each would have to split it into 1/3 for Pres/VP, House Rep & Senate)}
Indept companies (like Zuckerberg's FB/ instagram) can NOT stop free speech or use algorithms to silence peoples voices, or direct people from your content (exception: advocating violence, showing murder/rape/porn)
LYING BS propaganda will have FINES like Mexico just put in place. They are fining companies like Fox/Newsmax 2-5% of their income for propagating LIES.
No felons, or those convicted of sexual assault may run for or hold publicly elected office or cabinet/advisory position.
Farm cooperatives - Form alliances with farmers that between tariffs and oil prices (15% of their costs) might go under. We need food security. If we make cooperatives with them they could get higher costs than selling to groceries and we could get lower cost food. We will need that as our fuel costs skyrocket.
